Overview

Wyndham boasts a rich history, and its museum serves as a treasure trove of information about the town and the pioneering era of the Kimberley. The Afghan and Pioneer cemeteries also shed light on Wyndham’s diverse past.

Housed in the Old Court House, the Wyndham Historical Museum offers an intriguing look into the town's early days, including the Old Port Township, the Wyndham Meatworks, early aviators, and the WWII air attacks, such as the sinking of the MV Koolama.

Originally a police station before becoming the courthouse in the Port area, the museum features captivating memorabilia, journal records, and photographic displays documenting Wyndham’s history since European settlement in the 1880s.
