Overview
Refurbished for the 2024 season and nestled in the remote splendour of the Kimberley, Mitchell Falls Wilderness Lodge offers luxury in the wilderness. Located on the Mitchell Plateau, the lodge provides an ideal base for exploring the breathtaking Mitchell Falls and the ancient landscapes that define the region.
The newly refurbished lodge features 24 spacious, eco-friendly tented cabins with a king or twin beds, private ensuite, and outdoor deck, allowing guests to enjoy the tranquillity of the Kimberley in comfort.
Located on Aboriginal land, the lodge features the Ungolan Pavilion which includes a lounge, bar, library, and dining area with gourmet cuisine. Guests can enjoy the palm-fringed, private swimming hole complete with decking for easy access. Savour a full breakfast and three-course gourmet dinner prepared by the Chefs at Mitchell Falls Wilderness Lodge. Packed lunches are available upon request at an additional cost.
The lodge's prime location provides easy access to the breathtaking Mitchell Falls, nearby Mertens Falls, and the ancient Gwion Gwion (Bradshaw) rock art. For a different perspective, guests can opt for a scenic helicopter flight (available at an additional cost) to take in the stunning landscapes of the Mitchell Plateau from above.

How To Get There
Take the Kalumburu Road turnoff from the Gibb River Road.
• Travel 59km to Drysdale River Station,which will be the last fuel stop before travelling to the
Plateau and provides meals and snacks.
• From Drysdale travel a further 100km to the Mitchell Falls turnoff (on your left hand side).
• Cross over the King Edward River crossing and continue travelling towards the Mitchell Plateau Airstrip.
• It is a further 65kms, approximately 2 hours drive, from the turnoff to Mitchell Falls WIlderness Lodge.
• When you pass a sign to Kandiwal Community on the left, continue for another 4kms.
• Turn left into the Lodge private road at the APT Wilderness Lodge sign.
• Travel down the private road 1.8km to the Lodge to the Visitor Carpark on the left.

There are separate Terms & Conditions for group bookings of more than 5 tents.
A charge of $50 will apply to any addition or modification requested after the original booking has been confirmed.
Accommodation, dinner and breakfast is included in your booking. No refund is provided for missed meals.
Lunch is available at an additional cost. Transfers to and from the lodge is not included, nor can they be offered.
Rates do not include the Uunguu Visitor Pass which must be purchased prior to arrival.
All Wilderness lodge holds a liquor license which allows for the purchase of beer and wine, soft drinks and a small selection of spirits. Guests are not permitted to bring their own alcohol.
