Celebrity Tree Park
Overview
A lovely, grassed park with large shady trees on the banks of Lily Lagoon with views across the water to the majestic Sleeping Buddha / Elephant Rock, making an idyllic picnic spot.
Check out the celebrities who’ve visited the East Kimberley hub of Kununurra at Celebrity Tree Park.
During Kununurra's short history, the Ord Irrigation scheme has attracted worldwide attention bringing a range of celebrities through town. Since the park opened in 1984, celebrities who have visited the East Kimberley have planted a tree, including John Farnham, HRH Princess Anne, and Harry Butler, to name a few.
Only a few minutes from the centre of Kununurra, this is a great place for birdwatching with a paved path following the edge of the lagoon.
From the finger jetties there are great photo opportunities particularly late in the afternoon.
