Keep River National Park
Overview
Keep River National Park is one of the Northern Territory's best-kept secrets, showcasing stunning geological features and ancient Aboriginal rock art.
The striking sandstone formations, reminiscent of the Bungle Bungles in Western Australia, are best explored on the 7 km Jarnem Walk.
You can also find rock art at Langgerrbi (Nigli Gap), and the Jenemoom Walk offers additional views of ancient Aboriginal paintings and shell middens.
This park lies on the traditional lands of the Miriwoong and Gajirrabeng people.
Visitors to the Northern Territory National Parks are required to have a parks pass that can be purchased online via nt.gov.au/parks/parks-pass
Please be aware that saltwater crocodiles inhabit all waterways within Keep River National Park. Swimming is not permitted, and it's important to stay informed and practice crocodile safety. For more details, visit the Be Crocwise website.
