Judbarra/Gregory National Park
Overview
In this section of the Victoria River District, everything is BIG — from the barramundi and saltwater crocodiles to the vast landscapes and the challenges presented by the numerous four-wheel drive (4WD) tracks winding through the park.
Be sure to visit Gregory's Tree in the western part of the park. This impressive boab tree features carvings from Augustus Gregory's 1885 North Australian expedition. It is a sacred site for Aboriginal people and is listed as a heritage site, complete with interpretive signs at its base.
Don’t miss Bullita Homestead, which showcases its historic exhibits.
Visitors to the Northern Territory are required to obtain a parks pass to enter the park via nt.gov.au/parks/parks-pass
Saltwater crocodiles inhabit all waterways in Judbarra/Gregory National Park, so swimming is not advised. Always remember to Be Crocwise. For more information on crocodile safety, visit the Be Crocwise website.
If you plan to fish, be sure to check the size and bag limits for barramundi.
