The Grotto
Overview
The Grotto is a deep waterhole at the end of a small but magnificent gorge 66kms along the highway from Kununurra towards Wyndham.
During the wet season after heavy rain the cascading waterfall is a truly impressive sight as it drops into the waterhole 120 metres below.
140 steps in the side of the cliff lead down to the waterhole which is ideal for swimming during the wet season or early post wet season. Even when the water is not suitable for swimming you still get amazing views if you take the steps down to the bottom. Take care on the steps as there are no handrails.
From the highway it is a 2km sealed road to the carpark.
